Project Title: ICT-VentureGate - Innovative Solutions For Enabling Efficient Interactions Between SMEs In ICT Projects And Innovation Investors

Description: ICT-VentureGate is an FP7 project that aims to facilitate financing of attractive ICT SMEs, which have participated in the Sixth and/or Seventh Framework Programs and are seeking sources of venture capital to commercialise the results of their R&D activities.
Objectives:
  • Profile the financing needs of ICT SMEs that have participated in FP6 and FP7.
  • Learn how investors and private equity firms consider such SMEs.
  • Bridge the gap between SMEs graduating from the Framework Programme and the relevant Investors by:
    • Enabling the SMEs with the capabilities to find and attract investors, and to become investment ready.
    • Providing guides and tools to help SMEs succeed in the financial marketplace.
    • Establishing a single Information Gateway for Investors.
  • Avail such attractive SMEs to venture capital funding through various channels and information gateways.
  • Create, operate, and maintain a permanent platform for brokerage, networking, and for cooperation between SMEs and venture capital investors.
